The bail bond business is a very misunderstood business. Most people have no idea how the process works until they get a phone call from the police or jail. Going to jail is one of those realities in life that we hope we’ll never have to deal with. But statistics show that you or someone in your close group of family and friends will go to jail. And the chance that they will need to give you a call is possible over your lifetime.
Here are the bail bonds that we can help with, Cash/Surety bonds and 10% bonds. They are two different types.
For a Cash/Surety bond you’ll need 10% of the face value of the bond. If the bond is $5000 the non refundable fee is $500.
For a “10% bond” the cost is much less. By law, bondsmen in Michigan can write a 10% bond for one-quarter of the liability, meaning a $5000, 10% bond only costs you $125. How’s that for a deal!
Try not to get confused by the terminology where the term 10% is used. The State really needs to rename the 10% bond to something else.

No one likes crime. That seems like a no brainer doesn’t it? Since the beginning of time people have been taking “things” from their neighbor or hurting them in some fashion. That’s just not right. This type of behavior will most likely continue until the end of time. If it doesn’t that would be great and we can change the name of our country to The Utopia States of America. « Read the rest of this entry »

You know what’s great, family is. Family can bring you joy and happiness. They accept you as a person and are there for you in times of trouble. It’s too bad that we take them for granted sometimes. We just assume that they are always going to be there and that nothing can ever break that bond.
Even the strongest of bonds can be weakened over time through disappointments, failures and bad personal decisions. Even the strongest of bonds between very close family members has its limits. « Read the rest of this entry »

No one understands bail bonds and that’s okay. Most people won’t ever have to call a bail bondman to bail anyone out. Lucky for them.
But sometimes bad things happen. Maybe someone calls the cops on you for something they thought was illegal. Maybe you get pulled over for a DUI. Or maybe you break a law and commit a misdemeanor and have to go to court. It happens to thousands of people everyday. In bail is used in Detroit Michigan over 100,000 times a year. No, they aren’t all from Detroit they could have been just passing through the city and broke the law.

Bail bonds aren’t for everyone. When you have to get one that means something bad has happened. Someone you know is in jail for something they did that may have broken a law.
The problem is you don’t always kow who to call. Your friends and family might not know a bondsman. Or they may know one but you may not know that they know one. People don’t often shout from the mountain tops that they know bail bondsmen. And that’s okay.
